Old Street - Penthouse Refurbishment

From Empty Shell to Inviting Home

How do you take a dated property with an awkward layout and turn it into a home that feels both functional and full of personality? This penthouse had great potential and amazing views, but a poor kitchen layout and open plan spaces that lacked intimacy. It was an empty shell in need of character, warmth and flow.

The reimagined design wove in organic textures, bespoke joinery and a palette both bold and inviting. Deep blues and golden yellows drew inspiration from the client’s motor racing colours, bringing energy and individuality into the scheme. Walnut tones and soft curves added warmth to the kitchen, while curated art, planting and new lighting gave every corner personality. Bespoke beds and custom storage introduced quiet luxury, and cosy nooks such as a reading chair and bioethanol fire made each zone feel intimate within the grand scale.

The result is a penthouse infused with character and comfort that feels modern, uncomplicated and inviting, with a sense of home that finally matches its owner’s personality.
